The existenceof Chinese Education Study Program (Prodi) S1 drew an attention from a Capital’s Daily Media. Yesterday, GuoJiRiBao, JawaPos Group, sent two reporters. They did an interview about the University of WidyaKartika (Uwika), especially about the new study program.

They were Li Jun Long and Wang Pei Ran. Both came from China. Currently, they are still taking classes in one of the private universities in the Capital. In practice, Li Jun Long and Wang Pei Ran joined GuoJiRiBaoto fulfill their college’s assignments.

GuoJiRiBao is a mandarin language daily newspaper headquartered in Jakarta. This newspaper uses mandarin writing. Its existence is a response to facilitate the readers of the Chinese.

Two journalists who were sent arrived at around 14:00 pm at Uwika. After talking for a while, they asked to have a tour around Uwika. When viewing Chinese Dance exercise, both were amazed,especially Li Jun Long.

Which makes amazement, the new students of Uwika have been thought dance by native China although they are still in the early semester. After the touring had been done, the interview was continued with the leaders,also presented on the occasion Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc. (Rector), Drs. Darmanto, M.Sc. (Vice Rector 1), Dra. Felicia O. DienKoeswanto (Vice Rector 2), Dean of the Faculty of Languages ??Dr. TheaSairine, MTCM, ML, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics Dra.Eva Johana, M.Sc., and the ranks of faculty and Kaprodi.

One of the questions asked was about Chinese Education Department’s motivation and excellence. “Why should they retain the permition applicationwhereas, for over 5 years, there were so many obstacles? What was its motivation? Then what excellence possessed by Uwika?”, said Li Jun Long.

Rector emphasized that one of the motivations founded the department of Education S1 was to producequalified Chinese mandarin teachers. Because, in Indonesia, the need for this qualified teacher was still quite high. “Well, that’s what our spirit to be able to participate in developing the education of this country,” he explained.

Dealing with excellence, Uwikahad a lot of things. “One is the quality of lecturers. Lecturers are all Masters (S2). Moreover, most are graduates of China. There are also native who come from there (China), “he said.
